Suntront remote meter reading system includes four parts: management software, concentrator, collector and smart meters. There are three methods for upper layer communication of concentrator: GPRS method, telephone line method and Ethernet method, the bottom layer collector includes Mbus collector, RS-485 collector and wireless collector.

Concentrator will automatically collect the remote meter reading and storage data, and then send control command to meters after receiving control command from management software. With best compatibility and expandability, this system can manage not only one type of smart meters but also manage other types of smart meters comprehensively.

MAIN TECHNIQUES

1) Modular function design

Concentrator adopts R1610C embedded module as the core, with serial port, Ethernet port and clock, working stably and reliably.

2) Stable and reliable data storage

Concentrator adopts 32M large capacity, and with characterized of high reliability memory, data storage and query fast. It also supports sector balance and data could be saved for more than 10 years if power off.

3) Automatic function design

Concentrator can auto maintain the communication link of subordinate device, collect data information automatically and no need of manual operation.

4) Concentrator has the function of restart if breakdown and power supply test to ensure long term stable operation.
