HOW TO USE
NB-IoT (Narrow Band Internet of Things) diaphragm smart gas meter is used for measuring the gas flow in the pipe, with functions of remote prepayment, data uploading at fixed time, wireless network remote meter reading and remote valve control. In addition, it is compatible with local infrared communication, with simple operation, strong anti-interference ability, and low power consumption, making it especially applicable to civilian wireless remote gas metering system.
The gas company collects gas fees and input the purchased amount into the gas meter via NB-IoT network. When in use, the gas meter will automatically deduct the amount based on the set multi-tariff gas price. When purchased gas is used up, the gas meter will close the valve to stop gas supply. The user has to purchase gas again for continual use.
The gas meter can set five dividing points and six multi-tariff prices, and the deduction of fee is made automatically according to the appropriate gas price based on the gas used in the settlement cycle. When the gas used in the current settlement cycle does not exceed dividing point 1, deduction will be made at price 1; if it exceeds dividing point 1, deduction will be made at price 2, and so on. When it exceeds dividing point 5, the deduction will be made at price 6.
FUNCTIONS
1) Adopt industrial level NB-IOT module, SIM card adopts industrial M2M IOT SIM
card.
2) Adopt lithium battery, and battery service life is more than 8 years, and if
the power is failure, the data can be saved for 30 years.
3) Remotely prepaid function, support 5 tariffs 6 prices to be set, bill calculation
mode can be set as monthly, quarterly or yearly.
4) Timing
period data upload, uploading interval can be set, and uploading data includes:
the daily gas consumption of current month and last month, accumulated gas
consumption, balance (gas quantity), and etc.
5) Two online intervals can be set , and real time
meter reading can be realized during the online interval.
6) Alarm when being attacked, low battery power, low balance, valve failure and
owing.
7) LCD
display, it can display gas consumption, signal strength, battery level, valve
status, and etc.

INSTALLATION
Preparation before installation
1)Install the management system at the management
center. To use NB-IoT communication method; computers at the management center
should have internet access.
2)Create a file for the gas meter with its
ex-factory number. For details, please refer to the ID number and IMEI number
on the gas meter nameplate.
3)After the first power-on, press the
button on the gas meter, then the gas meter will immediately turn on the
infrared communication and automatically go online. At this time, you can use the
hand-held unit APP to set and read the gas meter parameters, control valves,
etc., and the NB-IoT will display the signal mark.
Installation
instructions
1)The installation shall be done by
professional workers from the gas company according to the requirement for
management of city gas engineering.
2)The gas meters are forbidden to be
installed in the bedroom, bathroom or places with flammable,
explosive and dangerous goods.
3)The gas meter shall be installed in a
place with good ventilation and easy to read, observe and overhaul.
4)The gas meter shall be installed horizontally
without slanting. The vertical deviation from the central line cannot be
greater than 1mm. The net horizontal distance between the gas meter and the gas
stove should be no less than 300mm.
5)Do not install any open wire, concealed
wire or power socket near the gas pipe, and the distance between them should be
no less than 300mm. There should not be any electric wire or electrical
equipment within 500mm of the gas meter.
6)Please pay attention to the direction of
the inlet and outlet of the gas meter, and choose the right gas meter
accordingly. Forbid to install the meter reversely.
7)The joint is an end-face sealing. Forbid
to fill the screw thread with any sealing material.
8) After installation, please do
an air tight test of the gas meter. The meter can only be put into use after
passing the test. Before inflaming, please discharge all the air in the gas
meter and the pipeline.
9)The installation place of the gas meter
should be far from electrical appliances which have a strong electromagnetic
interference, such as air conditioner compressor and electromagnetic oven, and it
should not be enveloped by a metal box or surrounded by metal objects.
